What are Your Fees and Cancellation policy?

Each 45-minute session costs £45. I don’t tie clients into a contract or require long-term commitments—you can pay on a session-by-session basis. At the end of the first session, I’ll provide you with my bank details for easy payment.

Can I Receive Proof of Attendance for Court?

Yes, I can provide you with an attendance letter on official letterhead, which includes details of the sessions you’ve attended. This letter can be used as evidence for court or other legal purposes. It will also reference my registration with the UK National Counselling Society for added credibility.

Is Everything I Say Confidential?

All information disclosed in therapy sessions is treated as confidential. However, there are specific instances in which it may be necessary to breach confidentiality. These are very rare, and I will discuss them in the first session. I will wherever possible, inform you before taking this action. Please see General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Information.

How Soon Will I Start To Notice Things Getting Better?

While it may take some time to fully recover from the issues that brought you to anger management, many clients notice positive changes early on. After just a few sessions, you may experience increased hope, optimism, or relief from sharing your challenges with someone who understands and offers a way forward.

These early improvements, though encouraging, don’t always signal lasting change. To achieve long-term success and a significant reduction in your anger, continued effort and regular sessions are essential. With time, you’ll likely see enduring improvements in various areas of your life—whether at work, home, or in your relationships.

How Long Should Therapy Last?

In my experience of working extensively with anger over many years, it typically takes between four to 15 weeks to see significant, lasting change. While you may notice notable improvements after just a couple of sessions, fully embedding the transformation and ensuring that your anger is significantly reduced or eliminated usually takes a bit longer, often up to 15 weeks.

We can work together to set a timeframe based on your goals, or keep it flexible. You're free to adjust the number of sessions as needed and stop whenever you feel comfortable with the progress you've made.

What Do I Need to Do?

To make the most of your therapy sessions, it’s essential to talk openly and honestly about your problems, thoughts, and feelings, no matter how personal or painful they may be. I will always listen without judgment, and your confidentiality is protected by law.

To fully benefit from the process, it’s important to actively engage in both in-session discussions and any out-of-session activities we develop together as part of your treatment plan.

Your feedback—whether positive or negative—is strongly encouraged and helps us tailor your therapy. Aim to provide regular feedback about your progress, and when you feel ready to end therapy, it’s best to discuss this decision with me so we can ensure a smooth transition.

What is Your Role as Therapist?

My role is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can openly express your thoughts and feelings and explore the aspects of your life that matter most to you. Developing a trusting, understanding relationship is key to successful therapy.

I won’t judge, direct, or impose goals on you. Instead, we can collaborate to set goals if that’s something you’d like. My role is to facilitate a process where you can discover your own meanings, truths, and solutions. Since you are the expert on your life, your input is vital in the decision-making process throughout therapy.
